Sinopsis Oraselul Barrow se afla in Alaska, in extrema emisferei nordice, si in fiecare an este cufundat in noapte timp de o luna. In timp ce majoritatea locuitorilor se indreapta catre sud in timpul iernii, un misterios grup de straini apare: vampiri insetati de sange, doritori sa profite de intunericul neintrerupt pentru a se hrani cu nefericitii ramasi in oras. Pe masura ce noaptea devine tot mai adanca, seriful din Barrow si un grup tot mai mic de supravietuitori se chinuie sa-si amane sfarsitul pana la reaparitia soarelui.
