Edvard (Luke Mably), mostenitorul tronului Danemarcei este pe cale sa se casatoreasca in cateva luni cu o tanara care este din America si face parte dintr-o familie medie. Paige (Kam Heskin) se pregateste atat pentru nunta cat si pentru a absolvi Facultatea de Medicina, in speranta de a deveni prima regina-medic.
Din nefericire, regele Olandei vrea sa isi casatoreasca fiica cu Edvard pentru a-si reveni din punct de vedere financiar. In acest scop, el merge impreuna cu frumoasa Kristen (Clemency Burton-Hill) in Danemarca.
Viata lui Paige devine din ce in ce mai complicata, iar gelozia si regulile stabilite de Constitutie devin bariere de netrecut in calea nuntii ei cu Edvard.
